The 2014 Trunk n Treat is around the corner.

On October 31, from 4:30 p.m. until sundown, Mt. Sterling-Utica Lutheran Churches will hold their 2nd Annual Trunk-or-Treat in the parking lot of the Mt. Sterling Lutheran Church.

“In order to make this a good opportunity for our area children we need as many vehicles and volunteers as possible to join us for the event,” said Renee Salmon. “It’s easy! Simply park your car in the parking lot and pop your trunk open and have lots of candy. This allows for a one stop location for children to trick or treat by going from vehicle to vehicle. Along with the convenience we provide for many families in our community, it provides a safe environment for them. If you live out in the country where you get very few trick or treaters, this also lets you get your candy out to more kids.”

Only individually wrapped, store bought candy will be allowed for safety reasons.

Those offering treats are asked to please arrive early so they do not have vehicles coming in to park while children are trunk-n-treating. Costumes and decorated trunks are encouraged, though not required.
