Johnson Public Library Activities

Shullsburg Music in the Park
SHULLSBURG – The 2017 Shullsburg Music in the Park schedule starts on Thursday, July 6 with Medicinal Purposes. Food and beverages provided by the Shullsburg High School Football Team. All concerts are at Badger Park in Shullsburg and go from 7:00-8:30 p.m. All are free of charge and are rain or shine. Bring your lawn chair. Darlington Food Pantry
DARLINGTON – The monthly Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry will take place on Friday, July 7th from 4 to 5 p.m. The Pantry is held in the lower level of Town Bank. There are no income requirements for people wishing to participate. Volunteers are needed from 3-6 p.m. Volunteers can help with all or any part of the pantry. To volunteer contact Carrie at 608-293-0791 or simply come to the pantry that day and register as a volunteer.
Christmas In July Golf Classic
DARLINGTON – The 17th Annual Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Golf Classic, Christmas in July will be Friday, July 7 at the Darlington Country Club. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. golfing will commence. 2 person best ball; hole-in-one gets a $10,000 cash prize, sponsored by Darlington Dairy Supply; steak feed from 5-7p.m; helicopter ball drop fundraiser at 6 p.m.; and live auction at 8 p.m. For more information contact Terri Baxter (726-0059), Laurie Fink (482-0600), or Patty Glover (778-6323). Tunes at Twilight
DARLINGTON – Tunes at Twilight will be every Sunday evening in July from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Darlington Veterans Memorial Park. In case of rain, everything will be moved to the Community Center Gym. Bring a blanket, lawn chair & appetite. Summer treats will be sold on location by local organizations. July 9, the Rich Hornyak, an Austin Texas Band will grace the park with their music.
Women’s Guild
DARLINGTON – The Women’s Guild of Immanuel UCC will be meeting at the Darlington Country Club on Thursday, July 13 for a Fun Day at 12noon.
Senior Day Pie Contest
DARLINGTON - Since 2010 the Live Well Lafayette Coalition has been a part of “Senior Day” at the Lafayette County Fair. We sponsor food, a theme, and music from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on July 14.  This year our theme is “Making Memories.”  We will be having a pie making/baking contest and giving out prizes.  There is no entry fee for the pie making/baking contest and we welcome bakers of all ages.   Music will be provided by the Larry Busch Band.  We are hoping for a great turn out!  Entry into the fair is FREE on Friday, July 14. Seniors can come and enjoy a scoop of ice cream & Pie!  Contact the Aging & Disability Resource Center at 776-4960 for a registration form or more information.
DHS Class of 1947 Reunion
DARLINGTON – The Darlington High School Class of 1947 reunion will be held at the Darlington Country Club on Sunday, July 16 at 12:30 p.m.
Summer Outreach Adult Education Classes
DARLINGTON – The summer session for the SW Tech-Darlington Outreach Adult Education classes will be June 6 through July 25, Tuesdays only, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Job Center Conference Room, 2nd floor of the Darlington Municipal Building.
