Johnson Public Library Activities
DARLINGTON – The Johnson Public Library has many events for the public to enjoy. The events for July are: July 27-Pizza & Awards at 2:30 p.m.; July 28-Story Hour 10 a.m.

and Lunch
DARLINGTON – The Senior Center will have their Music special on Thursday, July 27 at the Darlington Senior Center. There will be music by Rosalie and Ron Kittleson.
Shullsburg Music
in the Park
SHULLSBURG – The 2017 Shullsburg Music in the Park schedule continues on Thursday, July 27 with Derty Rice. Food and beverages provided by The Wheel In. All concerts are at Badger Park in Shullsburg and go from 7:00-8:30 p.m. All are free of charge and are rain or shine. Bring your lawn chair. Red Cracker Fest
SOUTH WAYNE – Come on out and enjoy the 22nd Annual Red Cracker Fest on Friday and Saturday, July 28 and 29 located along Hwy 11 on the East end of South Wayne. Free will donations-with the proceeds going to the South Wayne Community Park. Friday from 5-8 p.m., enjoy BBQ ribs and all the trimmings. Stay for a slow pitch tournament at 6 p.m. and a variety show from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The Accidentals Band will be rocking and rolling from 7:30-10:30 p.m. with Long Hard Ride DJ going strong from 10:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Saturday starts out at 10 a.m. with a kid’s ball game-slow pitch tournament. A euchre tournament begins at 12 p.m. and Jackie Lee will be performing from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Ghost in the Room Band will start up at 4-8 p.m. followed by The Unusuals Band from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Long Hard Ride DJ ends the night at 2 a.m. Stop on over to South Wayne for a great time!
Tunes at Twilight
DARLINGTON – Tunes at Twilight will be every Sunday evening in July from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Darlington Veterans Memorial Park. In case of rain, everything will be moved to the Community Center Gym. Bring a blanket, lawn chair & appetite. Summer treats will be sold on location by local organizations. July 30, the Sunshine Band will grace the park with their music.
DHS Class of 1948 Reunion
DARLINGTON – The Darlington High School Class of 1948 reunion will be held at the Darlington Country Club on Sunday, July 30 at 11:30 a.m.
Community Blood Drive
LAFAYETTE COUNTY - The American Red Cross encourages eligible donors to resolve to give blood regularly. Sixteen year olds are accepted with parental consent. New donors must bring a photo ID and another form of ID. To make an appointment to donate blood, download the free Red Cross Blood Donor App from app stores, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center encourages eligible donors to resolve to give blood regularly. Donors with all blood types are needed, especially those with types AB, O, B negative and A negative. For questions about eligibility, please call the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center at (800) 747-5401. Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes to one hour.  Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure may be accepted as eligible donors. The MVRBC is the exclusive provider to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County.

Special service at Our Lady of Fatima
DARLINGTON – Bishop Bala Udumala, Bishop of Warangal-India will be visiting the U.S. and will celebrate Mass on Aug. 2 at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima in Darlington. Please join in welcoming Bishop Udumala while he is in Darlington.
American Legion Raffle Fundraiser
DARLINGTON – Darlington American Legion Post 214 will be holding its Summer Picnic at the Legion Post on Wednesday August 2.  All Legion, Auxiliary, SAL members and their families are welcomed to attend.  Social Hour will start at 6 p.m. with supper being served at 7 p.m..  The Post will furnish hamburgers, brats and hotdogs and everyone is asked to bring a dish to pass.  Short meetings will follow the supper and then the Post will have the $10,000 Fundraising Raffle Drawing.  If you have not purchased a ticket yet, there are a few of the $100 tickets left.  Contact Dan O’Brien if you are interested in purchasing one.
Darlington Police Brat Feed and Ball Game
DARLINGTON – The City of Darlington Police Department will be hosting its annual Police Brat Feed and Ball game on Thursday, Aug. 3 at Riverside Park. Officers will be serving up brats, hot dogs, burgers, chips and beverage beginning at 5 p.m. and will sell until they are sold out.
27th Annual Co-Ed Mud Volleyball
ARGYLE – The Argyle Fire Department will be hosting their 27th Annual Co-ed Mud Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 5 starting at 8 a.m. SHARP at the Argyle Legion Park. Entry deadline with Aug. 1. 64 teams only pool play tournament. DJ, food and refreshments all day. No carry-ins. For more information call Diane Schlafi at 608-558-4760.
Redbird Ranger Ride
DARLINGTON  - The 3r Annual Redbird Ranger Ride, hosted by the Darlington Redbird Touchdown Club, will be Aug. 5 departing at 11 a.m. from Legends. There will be three stops at McGowans/Blacks, Evenstad’s Bottom and the Darlington Country Club. A live auction will take place at 4:30 p.m. at the Darlington Country Club. There will be games, prizes and more. Come and join the fun!
Lafayette County Sew and Sews
DARLINGTON – The meeting of the Lafayette County Sew and Sews is always the 2nd Monday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Community Room at Town Bank in Darlington. The next meeting will be Aug. 14. Everyone is welcome.

PLATTEVILLE – The Tri-State Needlearts EGA meet the second Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at Pioneer Ridge Apts. Community Room, 1510 Bears Court, Platteville.
