The Rotary Club of Southwest Wisconsin will be running The Scrooge of Platteville contest this holiday season.

This year's Scrooge nominees include Bruce Kroll  of Culvers, Tom Sigwarth of Country Kitchen and Dairy Queen, Julie Klein of Benvenuto’s, and John Patakos of Steve’s Pizza.

Containers for all candidates will be placed in those businesses beginning Friday.  Community members can “vote” for their favorite Scrooge by placing donations in the containers at the restaurants or by at the Platteville Regional Chamber office. The last day to contribute will be Monday, Dec. 22.

The Rotary Club recently received a $2,500 grant for the Moving Platteville Outdoors project. All of the proceeds from the Scrooge contest will go toward the matching grant from Rotary for the MPO project.
