The Tomah Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center will be hosting a Veterans Benefits Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 13, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., at 500 East Veterans Street in the Tomah.
Veterans and the public are invited to visit the Building 407, Room 1724 (conference room) to learn about the numerous benefits available to Veterans through the VA, and state and county organizations and programs. Staff will also be available to enroll eligible Veterans for care.
“This is a terrific way for Veterans to learn more about the benefits they have earned by serving our nation,” said Lindsey Deitzman, the benefits fairs coordinator. “We want people to come out and even if you are not a Veteran, you can learn about the benefits available to Veterans in your life and community.”
There will be over numerous booths with information including: Representatives from MyHealtheVet, TeleHealth, Medicine Services, MOVE/nutrition services available, Veterans Assistance Foundation, Voluntary Services, Veteran Transportation, and Veterans Benefits will be attending the fair.
The Tomah VA Medical Center and its outpatient clinics in LaCrosse, Wausau, Wisconsin Rapids, and Clark County provide care to more than 27,000 Veterans in Wisconsin and Minnesota each year.
