Young at Heart to meet on Valentines Day

PLATTEVILLE — Young at Heart is a free club for those 50 or better created exclusively for people who are a little wiser for having a few years behind them.

On Thursday, Feb. 14, Young at Heart will host the regular monthly social for anyone 50 and better but as a special celebration will also offer a special Valentine’s Day dinner.

The monthly social will be held at Park Place Senior Living, 1075 N. Elm St., Platteville, starting at 4:30 p.m.

The speaker after the dinner will be Rev. Bill Wineke. Wineke was a columnist for the Wisconsin State Journal for 45 years and is currently the interim pastor at First Congregational Church of Christ in Platteville.  He will speak on “Staying Young Spiritually.”

Reservations are required for the dinner by Feb. 8 and cost is $10 per person. Those with dinner reservations will be served in a separate dining room at 4:45 p.m. The speaker will begin at 5:30 p.m. To RSVP for the dinner or for more information, call Deb, 348-5312.
