Boscobel economic development director speaks at tourism meeting

Tim Jacobson, Boscobel’s economic development director, gave a tourism-related presentation to some members of Congress, their staffers, and a range of other stakeholders from southwestern Wisconsin, northwestern Illinois, northeastern Iowa, and southeastern Minnesota at a meeting at Chestnut Mountain Resort outside of Galena, Illinois on May 26.

The conference was convened to discuss ideas for promoting international geotourism to the Driftless Region, to assist businesses in recruiting talent, and helping local communities thrive while at the same time being conservation-minded with our landscape. Jacobson was accompanied by Fred Lochner of MSA Professional Services, a consulting firm that has been retained by the Grant County Tourism Council to lead a JEM grant funded tourism economics study.
