DODGEVILLE — The Iowa County Board voted Sept. 17 to pay for a strategic plan for Bloomfield Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

The results of the study on what to do with the facility would be the subject of a referendum in 2014.

The building has mostly double rooms for patients, though residents want private rooms, said Sup. Carol Anderson of Cobb. The building’s mechanicals are more than 50 years old.

The board 13–7 to set a cap of $43,000 on the study.
