La Budde nominated for board vacancy
Lower Wisconsin State Riverway Board

During a relatively brief meeting of the Lower Wisconsin State Riverway Board on Thursday, July 14, it was announced that Gigi La Budde, of Spring Green, has been named to the board. La Budde will still need to be confirmed by the Governor’s Office, a sometimes-lengthy process.

Riverway Executive Director Mark Cupp described La Budde as an “excellent naturalist and skilled botanist who is very engaged and looking forward to serving on the board.”

La Budde is owner of Bison Belly Futures, an ecological restoration, education, and consulting business. She also serves as an instructor at the Aldo Leopold Foundation. La Budde will attend her first meeting in August, as she was unable to attend the July meeting due to prior commitments...
