The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will waive day use fees at its more than 2,400 USACE-operated recreation areas nationwide in recognition of National Public Lands Day Saturday.

On this day, fees normally charged at boat launch ramps and swimming beaches will be waived.

In addition to the reservoirs, day use fees will be waived at the District’s recreation areas along the Mississippi River. Those areas are: Blanding Landing, Pleasant Creek, Big Slough, Thomson Causeway, Cattail Slough, Clark’s Ferry, Lock and Dam 13 and Shady Creek boat ramps.

The waiver does not apply to camping and camping-related services, or fees for specialized facilities such as group picnic shelters.
