Substantial library funding offered

MUSCODA - It was announced at the June 14 Muscoda village board meeting that two substantial donations to help finance the new Muscoda Public Library have been received.

The Joan Woodman Orton McCollum Foundation of Richland Center contributed $25,000 on June 1, to the project. It was also announced the Foundation will contribute another $25,000 grant to be paid June 1, 2017.

The grant specifies the naming of the History Room for the Grant.

Also, the office of Third District Congressman Ron Kind has announced that a village application for a USDA $40,000 grant has been approved. The money is to be used for furniture and fixtures in the new building.
