ARGYLE – Members of Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County, the Hospital Committee and the Village of Argyle board helped kick off the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Argyle Primary Care Clinic on Oct. 24.
MHLC CEO Kathy Kuepers is happy this project is underway since it has been a topic of discussion with the Hospital Committee for a while.
“It is wonderful to get this project going. This has been a great partnership and we couldn’t be happier to have a new clinic in Argyle,” Kuepers said.
Midwest Builders of Fennimore is the construction management firm who will be building the new two-provider clinic. The project will cost roughly $972,000, with the tentative completion date of May 1, depending on weather conditions.
“It is going to be a very nice asset to the community,” Ryan Rands of Midwest Builders stated.
The 3,500 sq. ft. two story building will sit on the lower portion of the property overlooking the grassy area near Hwy 81, with a walk out basement. The entrance and the parking lot will be on the south end of the building, or the upper portion of the property.
The clinic will be staffed with two providers and up to four support staff members. No decisions have been made for the existing clinic at this time. The existing clinic will be in use until the new one is completed.
