NORTH CRAWFORD School Districts 2018 Val-edictorian is Brayden Friar, and their Salutatorian is Johnathan Volden.

NORTH CRAWFORD - The North Crawford School District would like to recognize our valedictorian Brayden Friar and our salutatorian Johnathan Volden.  These two young men are fine examples of integrity, perseverance and drive and the North Crawford School District is very proud of them and their accomplishments.

Johnathan Volden has been a three-sport athlete at North Crawford for four years and his football, basketball and baseball coaches all can attest to the wonderful young man he is. Along with being named his team’s captain, he has been chosen for the Ridge and Valley Sportsmanship Award three times.  He is a member of National Honors Society and was a participant in the Sports Summit and Badger Boys State. He is also in Forensics, Math League, PALS, and Spanish Club as well as a Badger Camp Counselor.

Johnathan is a Youth Advocate for Community Health and works part time at Culver’s. Johnathan is planning on studying Physical Therapy at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and he looks forward to helping people in need and making a difference in their lives.

Braydon Friar has participated in numerous activities at North Crawford including Badger Boys State, PALS, Robotics Club, Math League, Forensics, Spanish Club and has participated in cross country, basketball, baseball and track and field.  Braydon has also worked as a teller at People’s State Bank and a Production Technician at BAPI.  Braydon has been a part of our theater program and has volunteered in the March For Life Pilgrimage, Red Cross blood drives and has lent his energy to the Fall Driftless Art Festival as well.

Braydon has also been a two time camp counselor at Badger Camp and is a shining example of what’s right in our school.  Braydon will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is planning on studying computer engineering with an emphasis on hardware.  Braydon would like to develop technology that would make communication easier for people who are non-verbal and cannot express themselves in a more traditional way.

I would like to salute these two amazing young men and we wish them the best in their very bright futures!

Toby Tripalin serves as the North Crawford High School Principal.
