Another torrent of alcohol violations

Platteville and UW–Platteville police were busy last weekend dealing with another flood of alcohol-related incidents.

•    Benjamin D. Deuerling, 19, Platteville, was cited for public intoxication and underage drinking early Sunday. A caller told police someone was knocking on doors of houses in the 400 block of Virgin Avenue around 3:25 a.m.

•    Two people were cited after a traffic stop at 220 S. Water St. Saturday around 8:50 p.m.

August Christian Miller, 20, Platteville, was cited for resisting or obstructing an officer and underage drinking. Tyler Branson Cox, 20, Platteville, was cited for underage drinking.

Miller and Cox were passengers in a car whose driver was given a warning for failure to yield the right of way at an intersection.

•    Micheal A. Emberson, 22, and Casey Brannon Murray, 21, both of Monticello, were cited for open intoxicants in front of Orville T’s, 30 N. Second St., Sunday around 2 a.m.

•    Ernesto Beliz, 20, Scales Mound, was cited for public intoxication early Sunday. Police were called around 3:50 a.m. by someone who said Beliz had entered the porch at 390 N. Third St. without permission.

•    Amanda M. Leeser, 21, Platteville, was cited for public intoxication at the Zeta Beta Chi sorority, 590 W. Main St., Saturday around 3:10 a.m.

•    Austin K. Brummel, 20, Platteville, was cited for underage drinking early Sunday. Brummel was one of three individuals standing in front of Platteville Tax Service, 14 S. Third St., around 2:50 a.m.

•    George Stephen Howard Ross, 20, and William A. Botefuhr, 21, both of Arlington Heights, Ill., were cited for open intoxicants outside Boondocks Bar, 70 N. Second St., Saturday around 12:10 a.m. Ross was also cited for underage drinking.

•    Riley M. Diske, 18, Platteville, was cited for underage drinking Sept. 14. UW–Platteville police were called to the Markee Pioneer Student Center for a report of a man who had fallen around 2:10 a.m.

•    Bailey J. Lamers, 18, Platteville, was cited for underage drinking Sept. 14. UW–Platteville police were called around 3:15 a.m. for an intoxicated individual who had urinated on his roommate’s bed at Bridgeway Commons.

•    Giacomo A. Black, 18, Platteville, was cited for underage drinking Sept. 7. UWP police were called to Rountree Hall around 1 a.m. for a report of an intoxicated male in another person’s room.

•    Joseph R. Berry, 30, East Dubuque; Emily Ann George, 21, Dubuque; and Michael J. Middendorf, 23, East Dubuque, were cited for open intoxicants at Southwest Road and Markee Avenue Saturday around 4:35 p.m. The three had open cans of Busch Light beer, according to police.

•    John P. Egan, 22, Stoughton, was cited for open intoxicants at Mineral Street and Second Street Sunday around 2:20 a.m.

•    Zachary M. Welsh, 24, Montfort, was cited for open intoxicants outside Nick’s Bar, 74 N. Second St., Saturday around 8:50 p.m.

•    Joshua T.W. Priest, 24, Colona, Ill., was cited for open intoxicants at Main Street and Bradford Street Saturday around 8:25 p.m.

•    David Norman Walters, 33, Platteville, was cited for open intoxicants outside the Char Bar, 60 N. Second St., Saturday around 2 a.m.

•    Aaron J.M. Roeske, 24, Portage, was cited for open intoxicants outside Camaraderie, 65 N. Second St., Saturday around 12:30 a.m.

•    Timothy Andrew Miller, 28, Platteville, was cited for open intoxicants outside Schoolgirlz, 55 N. Second St., Saturday around 1 a.m. Miller was seen with a rum and cola, according to police.
