Different tastes in vocal music appear to have resulted in the arrest of an Avoca woman Aug. 11.

Kristen L. Rush, 25, was cited after a man approached Platteville police at 1185 E. Business 151 around 6:35 p.m. and said he had been punched in the head by his girlfriend three times.

Rush told police she punched him because “he did not enjoy her singing.” She was arrested for assault, police said.
