DAWS well testing initiative provides update
DAWS drop off locations
SAMPLE DROPOFF LO-CATIONS have been announced by all three counties involved in the DAWS well testing initiative. Citizens can drop off their sample at whichever location is most convenient for them.

CRAWFORD, VERNON AND RICHLAND counties are in communication with the water testing lab at UW-Stevens Point regarding the timing for the Driftless Area Water Study (DAWS) spring well testing initiative.

The tests will go forward, though the date may be delayed. More information will be available from your county’s Land Conservation Department soon.

Crawford County:the letters inviting residents to participate in the spring well testing went out via U.S. mail the week of March 8. The Land Conservation has had a good response, and reports that “spots are filling up fast.”

Richland County:the Land Conservation Department is slightly delaying sending out the letters, but expects them to go out soon.

Vernon County:continue to contact Sarah McDowell at the Land Conservation Department if you are interested in participating in the spring well testing at 608-637-5480 or smcdowell@vernoncounty.org. During this time, your best method for contacting the LCD is via e-mail.
