WATERLOO — A 48-year-old Potosi man was killed in a crash on Wisconsin 133 Saturday afternoon.

Ricky Eastlick was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grant County Coroner’s Office after the crash at 133 near Steiger Lane, which was reported around 4:30 p.m.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Eastlick was driving a pickup truck north on 133 when he missed a curve near 7336 Highway 133. The truck went off the right side of the road, came back onto the road surface, then went off the road into the ditch. The front tires of the truck caught the ditch, causing the truck to roll end over end until it landed on its tires facing south along the east side of the road, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Eastlick, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the truck, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, according to the Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating.

Eastlick is the fifth fatality on Grant County highways this year.

The Potosi police and fire departments and EMS assisted at the scene.
