TOWN OF WOODMAN — The body of a 50-year-old man who was reported missing just before Christmas was found in woods near the Wisconsin River March 21.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that the body of William Swatek was found near the Cozy Acres Trailer Park March 21 around 6 p.m. Swatek’s body was found by several people walking in the woods looking for deer antlers.

Swatek was last seen just before Christmas, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office said Swatek died from a single self-inflicted gunshot wound.
