TOWN OF ARGYLE — A 22-year-old Monroe man was killed in a crash on Lafayette County G west of Argyle Saturday morning.

Brett D. Hutchison was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on County G west of Apple Grove Church Road, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department said.

According to the sheriff’s department, Hutchison’s car was going west on County G around 9:35 a.m. when the car left the road and hit a bridge head-on.

Hutchison was wearing his seat belt, the sheriff’s department said. Speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.

Hutchison is Lafayette County’s fourth fatality this year.
