Platteville man faces two felony charges

A Platteville man arrested on the campus of Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore faces felony charges after an incident Sept. 30.

Kyle S. Heeren, 23, 921 E. Madison St., was charged in Grant County Circuit Court Wednesday with second-degree recklessly endangering safety and strangulation and suffocation, in addition to a misdemeanor charge of criminal damage to property.

Heeren is free on a $2,500 signature bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

Platteville police put out an attempt-to-locate alert for Heeren after a domestic dispute in which, according to police, Heeren pointed a gun at the victim the morning of Sept. 30.

Fennimore police arrested Heeren after he left a SWTC class later that morning.
