Platteville police are investigating a death at 77 E. Mineral St. early Sunday.

Police were called about a person “that was found passed out” at 3:24 a.m. Officers performed CPR when they arrived.

Platteville EMS took the person to Southwest Health Center in Platteville, where the person was pronounced dead.

An autopsy was performed. The cause of death is pending “further medical testing,” police said.
