The Platteville Journal building, 25 E. Main St., is having work done to its exterior walls.

The work has resulted in the installation of scaffolding in front, and orange traffic cones to direct drivers and pedestrians away from the building.

The cones attracted the attention of one person noticed by a Platteville police officer, who saw the man “crossing the street with a traffic cone on his head,” after which he ran from the officer May 3 around 12:02 a.m.

Talon Cole Fritz, 23, Platteville, was cited for obstructing an officer and theft.
