Two people were sent to the hospital in a crash on West Mound Road in the Town of Belmont Saturday afternoon. A truck driven by Donald L. Wilson, 40, Platteville, traveled wide on a curve into a corner and into the opposite lane, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department. Wilson’s truck hit a van driven by Felix Bartolo Garcia, 30, Livingston, around 2:15 p.m. Bartolo Garcia was taken by Platteville EMS to Southwest Health Center, then taken to UW Hospital in Madison by MedFlight helicopter. A passenger, Allison M. Bartolo Garcia, 11 months, was also taken to Southwest Health Center for medical evaluation. Wilson was ticketed for operating left of center. Platteville Fire and EMS, and Platteville and UW–Platteville police assisted.
