A  Soldiers Grove woman was injured Aug. 8 in a one-vehicle crash in Franklin township.
According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office in Viroqua, Lacy Olson, 20, was driving south on Co. Road J when she crested a hill and saw a northbound vehicle driven by Douglas Clinton, 61, also of Soldiers Grove,  occupying her lane.  Clinton was attempting to pass a dump truck and a horse-drawn buggy, both of which were northbound.

Olson braked, turned right and lost control of her vehicle while attempting to avoid the other three vehicles. It struck an embankment and utility pole along the right side of the roadway and overturned.

She was wearing a seatbelt and escaped serious injury. She was taken to Vernon Memorial Healthcare in Viroqua by private vehicle.

Assisting at the scene was the Readstown Police Department.

The accident remains under investigation.
