Gratiot’s 50th Labor Day celebration was held from Friday, August 30 to Monday, Sept. 2 with plenty of fun to go around for celebration goers throughout the entire weekend.
The festivities were well attended with the parade on Monday bringing out quite the crowd, which then migrated to the campgrounds for the rest of the day’s activities including the weekend’s famed chicken BBQ, a chicken and greased pig chase, a big wheel race, pie eating contests, water balloon and egg tosses, face painting, bingo, and a frog jumping contest.
