“As the SGL expansion fundraising effort winds down, committee members are asking those who appreciate our library to help us close the gap,” said Russell Gilbert. co-chair of the fundraising committee.

Friends of the Library have pledged $7,500 in a challenge grant and during the month of September any and all contribution sent to the library and earmarked challenge fund will be doubled. So a $25 gift will result in $50 added to the expansion effort

This Challenge Fund drive begins September 3 and will last through the month of September.

“Soldiers Grove Library patrons should expect a call from one of our friendly committee members.  Any other community members seeking to help out should call the library,” Gilbert said.

“We greatly appreciate the support of the local community to this point,” said Sharon Murphy, fundraising committee co-chair. “And, we’re all looking ahead to the wonderful opportunities that the expanded library will provide.”
