The services of Platteville High School and UW–Platteville students will be up for auction during a fundraiser for the Rountree Branch Trail project.

The Student Community Service Auction will be held in the City Park Gazebo Saturday, Oct. 11 after the UW–Platteville Homecoming Parade. The rain location is the Municipal Building.

The auction will raise funds for the Moving Platteville Outdoors project, which is to encourage people in the community to get outside and enjoy the natural environment; promote a healthy, active life style; and improve the quality of life in the Platteville community by expanding and improving the Rountree Branch Trail.

You will be able to bid on services provided by the students, including the Platteville High School swimming and cross country teams, Key Club, UW–Platteville CERES Women’s Fraternity, UWP Green Campus Organization and other students and organizations.

Services up for auction include providing dinner for a week, lawn-raking, snow-shoveling, washing windows and detailing and washing your car. Jason Bell, of Bell Real Estate and Auction Service, will be donating his services to run the auction.

Items to bid on will include tickets to the Nov. 5 Wisconsin basketball game at the Kohl Center in Madison, an 18-hole round of golf with UWP men’s basketball coach Jeff Gard at the Platteville Golf & Country Club, and Dubuque Fighting Saints tickets.

All funds raised will go to the Platteville Community Arboretum Moving Platteville Outdoors project.
