River Travel Magazine recently announced its nominees for Best of the River 2019.
The list includes three iconic Cuba City landmarks. Among the nominees are Cuba City’s Community Market, the Presidential Caboose and beautiful Veteran’s Memorial Park. The magazine also included Cassville, Potosi, the Driftless Area and Prairie du Chien among the nominees.
The Cuba City Community Market is now in its 7th season and features the best in local crafts, produce and entertainment. The Market takes place on the third Wednesday of every month from May until September from 3:30 until 6:30 p.m. and hosts over 20 vendors each month. The Market is held at the Presidential Courtyard on Main Street in the “City of Presidents.”
Veteran’s Memorial Park honors all Cuba City area veterans and is located at 100 South Washington. In addition to the Veteran’s monuments recognizing all branches of service there are towering trees, a playground and two picnic pavilions.
The iconic Presidential Caboose is located on Main Street and contains Presidential artifacts as well as local history items. Tours are available at select times which include Community Market days.
