CRAWFORD COUNTY - UW-Extension and the UW Center for Dairy Profitability will host ‘Cultivating Your Farm Business’s Future’ farm succession meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Crawford County UW-Extension Office, 225 N. Beaumont Rd., Prairie du Chien.
Operating agreements and the transfer of management are two topics that may be overlooked as people first begin farming together. Whether the partnership is with family members or non-related parties, having written plans for operations and management provides a strong base for a sustainable business. Following a written agreement helps when things are going well and when things get difficult.
