Alice Hartung, 85 of Mineral Point, died on Friday, June 29, 2012, at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center in Dodgeville.
Alice was born Oct. 7, 1926, to William and Mary Lawinger and was raised on a farm with her seven brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012, at Ss. Mary & Paul Catholic Church in Mineral Point. Fr. James Hinnen officiated. Burial was held in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends called from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, and from 10 a.m. until time of Mass on Monday at the church. Full obituary in the July 19, 2012 issue of the Republican Journal.
