Anne S. Stern, age 79 of rural Darlington passed away peacefully on June 27, 2017 at her home. She was born Oct. 26, 1937 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Louis and Sylvia Chiz. Anne was united in marriage to John B. Stern on Nov. 4, 1955 in Shawnee Township in Illinois. She and John lived in Aurora, Ill. until moving to Darlington in 2007.
Anne is survived by her husband John at home; four children: Sheri Lynn (Tim) Harley of Naperville, Ill., Pamela Jean (James) Malof of Wisconsin Rapids, Karen (Robert) Granberg of Naperville, Ill., and Sandara Beth (Walter) Wizner of Queens Creek, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters; and two brothers.
Ann cherished her family and the memories they created. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
