Arnold “Arnie” Edward Eilts, age 98 years and 8 days, of Ft. Myers, Fla.,  formerly of Darlington, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at Healthpark Medical Center in Ft. Myers. He was born on March 19, 1917, in Cass County, Iowa, the son of Henry and Emilie (Brauer) Eilts.

A funeral service was held Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church (1302 Clay St., Darlington) with Rev. Craig Simenson officiating. Burial was at Rock Church Cemetery in Livingston, where military graveside rights were accorded by the Fennimore American Legion Post #184. A visitation was held  Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main Street, Darlington).
