Avis A. Fisher, 83 of Appleton, formerly of Argyle, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at her home. She was born Nov. 18, 1928, in Woodford, the daughter of Jonas and Bertha (Halverson) Jacobson. Funeral services were held Friday, June 29, 2012, at 1 p.m. in Darlington, with Rev. Carol Johnson. Burial was in Miller Cemetery in rural Argyle. A visitation was held Friday, June 29, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Full obituary in the July 5, 2012 issue of the Republican Journal.
