Barb M. Lacke, 71 of Shullsburg, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 8, 1940, in Hazel Green, the daughter of Earl and Genevieve (Kittoe) Bastian. Barb graduated from Benton Public Schools in 1958. She lived in Benton until her marriage to Jim Lacke on Sept. 13, 1958, in Shullsburg, where they made their home for the past 53 years.  Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 344 North Judgement St. in Shullsburg, with Monsignor Mike Burke, Father Tom Loomis and Father John Bosco Pudhota concelebrating. Burial was in St. Matthew’s Cemetery in rural Shullsburg. A visitation was held Friday, Feb. 24, from 2-6 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, where a rosary was recited at 2 p.m. and a visitation was also held Saturday, Feb. 25, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass at the church.
