Beryle Jean Mullen, 91 of Shullsburg, WI passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2015 at her home. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at the Furlong Funeral Home, Shullsburg, with Pastor Jeff Meyer officiating. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Shullsburg. She was born Feb. 21, 1924 in Leadmine the daughter of Louis and Zula (Sheffer) Genthe.
    Beryle graduated from Benton High School in 1942 and later attended Bayless Business College, Dubuque, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Howard Mullen on Sept. 27, 1947, in Galena. He preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 1998. Beryle spent most of her life on the family farm with her husband and children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
    She is survived by two sons, Ronald Mullen of Cuba City and David Mullen of Shullsburg, one daughter, Kay (Bob) Martin of Dubuque, Iowa, five grandchildren, Jessica (John Pearson) Mullen, Sarah Mullen, Jaclyn (Jeremy Omvig) Mullen, Nathan Martin and Kalli (Spencer) Washburn, four great-grandchildren, Alison and Mae Pearson, Benjamin and Elizabeth Omvig, one sister, Katharine Gray of Cuba City. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Marian Ragonese, daughter in-law, Donna Simmons Mullen, three brothers in-law and two sisters in-law.
