Carolyn Marie (Muller) Rick, 73, of Hillsboro, went home to her eternal father on Aug. 17, 2014 after a courageous life long battle with diabetes. Carolyn was called to rest at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital surrounded by her children.

While on this earth, Carolyn was active in her church and she loved to crochet and knit. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family and friends. Carolyn loved to travel and made many trips across the country with friends. One of Carolyn’s favorite pastimes was listening to, writing, and making music with others.

Celebrating Carolyn’s life here on earth her mother: Shirley Muller; her children: Mary Santas (Clifford Calhoun III), James Rick (Kathy Smith), Rebecca Spagnola (Alvin Boelter); her sisters: Janice Stowell, Patricia (Robert) Turnipseed; her brothers: Kevin ( Wendy) Muller, Marvin (Daisy) Muller; her grandchildren: Jennifer (Andy) Hoerner, Kevin Rick, Heather (Clifford) Ruland, Megan Santas, Ashley Santas, Kelly Santas, Adam Lowrey, Warren Paulson, and Mickel Paulson and great grandchildren nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She will be welcomed by her father Earl (Tag) Muller of LaFarge, one infant brother, brother Ronald Muller, and her son Steven Rick.

For those of you wishing to celebrate her life, services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014 at the West Lima Church of Christ. Dear friend Pastor David Frank will officiate and burial will be in the Bear Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Seland Huston Funeral Home on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014 from 5-9 p.m. and on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
