Colleen Childs-Yoho died of cancer on January 31, 2012 in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

She was born to Karl and Georgianna Childs in Gays Mills on March 9, 1934. Colleen was an Artist, Designer, Entrepreneur, Wife, Mother and Friend. Colleen’s life work was renovating and designing commercial and residential properties all over the U.S. As an Artist Colleen’s artwork was featured in the film “The Princess Diaries.”

Colleen left behind her husband, Mel; daughter, Valerie; sister, Charlane Stevens; brother, Ken Childs; mother, Georgianna, and grandchildren, Ashley, Casey and Cole. Colleen’s two sons, Craig and Blane preceded her in death.

Colleen will be missed by all who loved and admired her sage wisdom and marvelous ability to bring beauty, joy and art into everyday life.

She is mourned by many and will be forgotten by none.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Haney Ridge Cemetery.
