PLATTEVILLE—David J. Hitchins, 59, of Platteville was called home to heaven on Thursday, July 5, 2012 following a 4 year battle with cancer.

Memorial services were 11 a.m. Monday, July 9 at the Lutheran Church of Peace in Platteville.  Rev. Jeff Pedersen officiated. Burial will be at a later date.
