David Paul Kleppe, age 55, unexpectedly passed away in his sleep at his mother’s home in LaCrosse on Monday, April 1, 2024.  He was born November 10, 1968 to Paul and Marilyn (Peterson) Kleppe.  David Graduated from LaCrosse Central High School in 1987, then attended Luther College.  His faith was very important to him, and he regularly attended worship services at South West Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Viroqua, where he was baptized.  David was confirmed at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in LaCrosse.  David enjoyed spending time on the family farm in rural Ferryville, Wisc., which has been in the Kleppe family since 1867.  He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.  Anyone who knew David knows he was a “talker”, and no one was a stranger to him.  He always had a smile, warm welcome and an interesting fact he may just have learned and wanted to share.  He will be missed so much!

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at South West Prairie Lutheran Church, rural Viroqua.  Burial will follow in the South West Prairie Lutheran Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
