Dolly G. Palfrey, 88, of Shullsburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at the Lafayette Manor in Darlington.  A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where Pastor Bob Bennett officiated.  Burial was in the Leadmine Primitive Methodist Cemetery.  Friends could call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday before the service.  Purple was Dolly’s favorite color so it was requested you wear purple to her visitation and services.
Dolly was born on June 13, 1930, at home, Windy Point Road in Leadmine, the daughter of James Luther and Grace Beatrice (Blinkensop) Rowe.  She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Fred “Stanley” Palfrey, on Sept. 25, 1950.
Dolly was a long time faithful member of the Leadmine Primitive Methodist Church, where she served many years as a Sunday School Teacher and as the Church Treasurer.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.
Dolly is survived by her children:  Delva (Don Gille) Palfrey of Shullsburg, Darleen (Ron) Scott of Evansville, James (BJ Davidson) Palfrey of Evansville, John (Becky Bass) Palfrey of New Diggings, Joseph (Jackie Mortensen) Palfrey of Muscoda, Daphne (Kenneth Hines) Stanek of Muscoda, Doreen (Joel “JD”) Doyle of Shullsburg, Jerald Palfrey of Muscoda, and Jay Palfrey of Mt. Zion; 30 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who were very dear to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; sons: Jeffrey and Jedwin; grandchildren: Corinna Fecht, Toby Fecht, Joshua Pedley and McKenzie Foust.
A Dolly G. Palfrey Memorial Fund has been established.
