Donald R. Steiner was born August 21, 1925 to Raymond and Anna Steiner in Richland County. He passed away on July 23, 2012.

Donald attended schools in the Soldiers Grove area. He married Anita Bolstad in 1947. They farmed in the Soldiers Grove area until 1954 and then moved to Rockford, Ill. He worked at Estwings and John S. Barnes.

Donald is survived by his wife, Anita; six sons, Danny (Karen), Kerry (Cheryl), Kevin (Phyllis), Darin (Sonya), Kurt and Derrick; one daughter, Ingrid (Mark) Wedige; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by son David in 2011 and grandson Jordan Steiner in 2011.
