Dorothy Ellen Knadle-Hynek, 79, of Sarasota, FL, was called to heaven on April 13, 2014.

Dorothy was born in rural Hillsboro, WI, April 15, 1934, to the late Harvey and Nellie Stenerson-Knadle. Dorothy attended Eastman Grade School and Hillsboro High School. It was during her high school years that she met the love of her life, James Robert Hynek, and was married on Aug. 24, 1957. They resided in West Chicago, IL, prior to obtaining dual residences in DeForest, WI and Sarasota, FL.

Dorothy is survived by James; two children, Steven and Dala Hynek, of West Salem, WI and Susan and Steven Lakics of West Chicago, IL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Kiel and Amanda, Alec, Elise and Nylan Hynek, Heidi, Heather, Robert, and Ryan Lakics; three great grandchildren, Damien, Cayden and Quinet; sister, Lillian Hammer, sister-in-law, Elsie Boese; and many other family and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth Knadle.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donation be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.

Dorothy will by laid to rest in Hillsboro, WI, next to her mother with graveside services at 11 a.m. May 31 at the Knadle Cemetery, Hwy. 82. west of Hillsboro.
