Earl J. Smith, 80, of rural Hazel Green, died at 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 at home.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church at Hazel Green, with Rev. James Parker officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.Friends were able to call from 2 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30, at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque, where the parish rosary/scripture service was at 1:30 p.m. Friends were also able to call after 9 a.m. on Monday at the church.
