On July 31, 2015 Eldon R. Halvorson, 84, passed away at the VA Hospice Unit in Madison with family members by his side. On Jan. 14, 1931 Eldon was born at home in the township of Seymour, in Lafayette County to Herman and Myrtle Halvorson.
    Eldon’s Celebration of Life occurred on Tuesday, Aug. 4 in Madison. Eldon’s remains were laid to rest on Sunday, Aug. 9 at Saucerman Cemetery in Browntown. Upon Eldon’s request memorials may be made to Second Harvest Food Bank.
