Elyse Portwine, the oldest resident of Avoca passed away peacefully at Riverdale Healthcare Center on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Riverdale Health in Muscoda at the age of 100.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Avoca United Methodist Church in Avoca with burial following in the Avoca Cemetery.
Visitation was held at the Avoca United Methodist Church on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
