Evelyn L. Miller, age 88 years, of Hillsboro, went to her heavenly home on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015.  She resided at Heritage Manor in Elroy, Wisconsin.

She was born on Dec. 16, 1926 to Gilbert and Grace (Smith) Clark.

Evelyn was united in marriage to Orrie Miller on June 9, 1945 at her parents’ home at Jug Creek. They farmed for many years in the Town of Woodland until 1980, when they moved into Hillsboro.  They became active in the Hillsboro Wesleyan Church.  She enjoyed quilting and having guests over for dinner.  Orrie preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 2009.

She is survived by five children, Carolyn (Eugene) Barreau of Hillsboro, Dennis (Kay) Miller of Hillsboro, Charlotte (Dan) Shore of Hillsboro, Don (Mary) Miller of Wonewoc, and Dale (Judy) Miller of Wonewoc; 21 grandchildren and spouses; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by 3 brothers, James (Charlotte) of Oregon, WI, Earl (Judy) of Springfield, IL and Virgil (Linda) of Westfield; 2 brothers-in-law; 6 sisters-in-law; along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Hillsboro Wesleyan Church, with Rev. Roger Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro.
