Frederick R. “Fred” Kamps, 86, Belmont, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 22 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Platteville. Rev. Joel Voss will officiate. Burial will be at the Belmont Cemetery, where military rites were accorded. Visitation is from 2–5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to be directed to the WELS World Mission or St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fred’s name.
