Hazel Haile, 84, of Rockford, Ill., passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 20, 1928 in Crawford County. She married Edward J. Haile.

Hazel was employed at Dixie Crème Donut Shop for over 32 years. She was a member of the Brooke Road United Methodist Church.

She adored her children, grandchildren and was an award winning quilter. Hazel also made the best apple pie in the world. Everyone was always welcome into her home.

Hazel is survived by her son, Roger (Sue) Haile; daughters, Ronna Tewell, Ramona Wilson, Roberta (David) Baker; brother, Paul Wallin; sisters, Maxine Powers, Margie Haile, Marlene Seidel; twenty grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren with one on the way and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward Haile; son, Richard Haile; daughter, Ruth Haws; five siblings; and a great-great-grandchild, Marley.

Services were held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Honquest Family Funeral and Crematory at Rockford, Ill. Burial will be held in Gays Mills at a later date.
