Howard J. Brooks, 70, Platteville, died on Sunday, March 11, at Southwest Health Center Hospital, Platteville.  Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Platteville.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.  Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Friday at the Melby-Bendorf Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, where there will be a parish scripture wake service at 4 p.m. Friends may also call from 9:30 until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.  Memorials may be made to the Howard J.
