Jacob Robert Ellefson, 14 of Monroe, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, June 7, 2012. Jake was born Dec. 22, 1997, in Monroe, the son of Kurt and Teri (Hayes) Ellefson. He recently graduated from Monroe Middle School and was confirmed at St. Victor Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, June 11, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church, Monroe. Concelebrants were Father Larry Bakke and Father Michael Klarer with interment following in Calvary Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation was at the church on Sunday, June 10, from 3-7 p.m. with a time of remembrance held at 7 p.m. Full obituary in the June 14, 2012 issue of the Republican Journal.
